Village this Morning/Deployment
Credit: Chris Spitz
All was calm in the Palisades commercial village this morning, although many windows remain boarded up and boards were still being added. A small contingent of the National Guard was stationed on Swarthmore & Monument (depicted above). PPCC Secretary Chris Spitz thanked the Guardsmen for protecting our community. They indicated that they didn't know how long they would be deployed. We don't have further information on LAPD or other Guard deployment; If we learn of any changes we will try to let the community know.
Note: Most Palisades events through June are either cancelled, postponed or
will be held via virtual conference; later cancellations may be required
depending on conditions. Please check with event sponsors for status.
