LA City Council Hearing
re Rebuild Permit Fee Waivers

The City Council will take up the recommendation by the Ad Hoc Committee on LA Recovery (chaired by Councilwoman Traci Park) and Budget & Finance Committee, regarding waiver of rebuild permit fees for the Palisades burn area, this coming Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 10am.  See the agenda HERE (scroll down to item 23: note that we don't know if the item will be taken earlier/out of order or if public comment will be allowed). PPCC and numerous community leaders have submitted letters supporting fee waivers for all Palisades projects, including multi-family. See PPCC Letter #1, Letter #2 and Leaders Letter. Let the Council know that you also support waiver of such fees by submitting your written comment ASAP at the Comment Portal (enter Council File No. 25-0006-S57).

Palisades Village Tree Lighting

Join your friends and neighbors for the Palisades Village Christmas Tree Lighting — a cherished holiday tradition. Kick off at 4pm on Monument Street with family-friendly activities, music, refreshments and more. Santa Claus will light the Christmas Tree at 5:30PM, ushering in a magical snowfall!

Hanukkah Menorah Lighting

The traditional community Menorah Lighting returns to the Village at 4pm on December 14, hosted by Palisades Chabad & Palisades Village, and featuring the lighting of the Collaborative Arts Menorah, followed by music, crafts, treats and more!   All are invited.
